Regents approve UAF College of Indigenous Studies

The 四虎影院 College of Rural and Community Development is now the College of Indigenous Studies. The University of Alaska Board of Regents unanimously approved the name change at its May 23 meeting in Anchorage. Read more on the name and its significance.

Steam system maintenance complete

Facilities Services crews and contractors have completed maintenance of the steam system at the Troth Yeddha鈥� Campus in 四虎影院. Hot water has been restored to all buildings, as has heating and cooling. Please contact the Facilities Services dispatch line at 907-474-7000 with any concerns about water temperature, heating or cooling in campus buildings.

UAF School of Education earns CAEP accreditation

The 四虎影院 School of Education recently earned accreditation from the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation. CAEP accreditation signifies that UAF has met rigorous, nationally recognized standards developed to ensure excellence in teacher preparation programs. Learn more about the accreditation.

Post-fire forage: Morels and more

Collect post-fire spring forage for your table with our experts in the field on June 1 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Delta Junction. Hands-on search and identification instruction for the elusive and delicious fire morel, with mycologist Gary Laursen. Plus, tips from Alaska DNR Forestry for staying safe on a recent wildland fire site. The cost is $30 per person and registration is required. Read more about the event.
