Key Responsibilities
- Social media management: Plan, create, and schedule posts; engage with followers; monitor
- trends and track performance across platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, TikTok).
- Content creation and design: Produce on-brand assets (flyers, one-pagers, ads, simple
- motion/short-form video) using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Email marketing: Build and deploy campaigns and newsletters.
- Website content: Update pages, write/edit copy, and work with our web site creator.
- Campaign support: Assist with launches, promotions, and events.
- Analytics and reporting: Track key metrics.
- Brand stewardship: Ensure consistency of voice, visuals, and messaging across channels.
- 1鈥3 years of marketing experience (agency or freelance) or strong internship track record.
- Proficiency with major social platforms and scheduling tools.
- Hands-on design skills in Canva and/or Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Basic video editing a plus.
- Experience with email platforms.
- Professional writing clear, concise, on-brand copy for web, email, and social.
- Hourly pay: $20鈥$25 based on experience.
- Holidays and sick pay.
- Flexible schedule within business hours; occasional evenings/weekends for events as needed.

Looking for a student job that gives you real-world experience in technology, communications,
training, project coordination, and customer support?
Join our team supporting student success systems across UAF. This position supports
university-wide Customer Relationship Management (CRM) initiatives and student success
technologies, including platforms used to improve communication, engagement, and support
services for students.
This is a collaborative and fast-paced role with opportunities to gain hands-on experience
in technology systems, communications strategy, training and support, website updates,
data management, project coordination, and operational processes. Work will include
both independent assignments and team-based projects.
Successful candidates are curious, organized, adaptable, and willing to learn new
systems and processes. This position offers meaningful experience supporting employees
and students while building transferable skills in technology, communications, administration,
project management, and higher education operations.
This position will start at $17/hour.
Required:
- Must be a degree-seeking student at UAF.

The College of Business and Security Management Dean's Office is seeking an organized, friendly, and motivated Student Advisor/Recruiting Coordinator who enjoys working as part of a team. This position is a 12-month full time benefited position with regular business hours (Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm). Occasional weekends and evenings, and travel to college/career fairs may be required.
This position serves as one of three full-time academic advisors for CBSM, which has undergraduate programs in Accounting, Applied Management, Business Administration, Economics, and Homeland Security and Emergency Management. Our graduate degree programs include a Masters of Business Administration, Masters of Healthcare Management and Leadership, and a Masters of Security and Disaster Management. CBSM also offers a post baccalaureate certificate in Accounting, multiple graduate certificates in Homeland Security and Emergency Management fields, and an Occupational Endorsement Certificate in Homeland Security.

This position performs academic advising at the undergraduate level for CBSM programs. Duties involve advising students in person, over the phone, via email, and via Zoom. This position will work with the other academic advisors to plan, coordinate, and implement recruiting and retention activities. The academic advisor meets with students and parents during campus visits and works closely with the UAF Admissions office.
Duties will also involve attending college and career fairs locally and outside of 四虎影院, speaking to incoming students at UAF events, and meeting with students at local high schools. The incumbent will perform public presentations to groups visiting campus and to groups of interested students, either in-person or virtually. This position will also be involved in creating articulation agreements with other colleges around the country for CBSM programs.
Must have the ability to provide high-quality advising to incoming and current students. Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of students. Ability to work with faculty, staff, and students in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. A successful candidate must have the ability to interpret, apply, and communicate UAF academic policies and procedures.
This position requires a high level of confidentiality and a thorough understanding of FERPA.
Prefer work experience in higher education.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience or training in a professional environment. At least 2 years of relevant work experience.

This position is located on the Troth Yeddha' campus in 四虎影院. This is a full-time, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and . UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental, and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the , Grade 79, and step will be based on education and experience.

The College of Business and Security Management hires a variety of students throughout the year for various positions including Deans Office Assistant, Accounting Lab Tutor, Economics Lab Tutor, Student Grader, Student Investment Fund Assistant, and other positions as needed. All positions work under intermittent supervision and require the ability to exercise independent judgment.
