ËÄ»¢Ó°Ôº Pollen Count

Updated: Tuesday, July 7, 2026

Happy Tuesday, ËÄ»¢Ó°Ôº! While we are still enjoying some wonderfully low counts for the trees, our local grasses are gaining some serious momentum. We are officially seeing our very first moderate reading of the summer for grass pollen!

We also had a really great question that we wanted to answer today: "If both spruce and grass have a count of '6,' why is spruce rated 'low' while grass is rated 'moderate'?"

The answer lies in how our bodies react to different types of pollen. Grass pollen is a much more potent allergen than tree pollen. Because grass causes symptoms in far more people, even at lower concentrations, its thresholds for the "moderate" category are set much lower than for trees like spruce.

Daily Pollen Log (July 7, 2026):

Spruce (Picea): 6 (Low)
Birch (Betula): 1 (Low)
Mold* Spores: 712 (Low)
*Pollen counts are certified by the National Allergy Bureau; Mold counts are independently analyzed and provided for general informational and educational purposes only.
